2002 or 2020...?

As we all are quite well aware of the fact that this general election has already acquired a different meaning, pace and level of excitement. This time, it seems to be the fight between the ‘two’ youth icons. Everybody is putting in tactical ploy to attract the voters. With the advent of time, the voices have begun to crescendo.

I, being an educated youth, have my own point of view. I need a vision which has a bright future for me. I have heard both, ‘the mumma’s boy’ as well as the ‘Gujju’. And I can better judge their report cards.

When I talk of the Mr Modi, a bunch of head, hurl the facts of 2002. Few opine that he is a threat to national integration. While some are renting the air for his ‘Hindutva’ policies. Schizophrenic!!

I respect their opinion and completely fall for it hook, line and sinker.

However I cannot belabor the past. Even if I agree to the 10 year old, 'unproven' fact that they cite, I would like to take them to my childhood days. I once had a fight with my friend. After 10 minutes my teacher came. She asked us to shake hands and the matter was over. That guy helped in every step after that. Should I have NOT taken his help? (NOTE: I m not talking religion, I am talking as a human being).

We need to evolve from dogmatic thoughts.

I am not 'willy-nilly' favoring any religious bloke, rather a concrete Vision. I am thinking of 2013 and not 2002. I am a person, who thought to buy a bike of his salary but retracted sensing the petrol prices.

I will FAVOR a person who gives me a vision. One, who I feel can make our future brighter.

They talk of National Integrity. But the reason they mention is communal. Can they cite another reason why they don't want Mr Modi?

You can have several reasons to lambast and spurn 'somebody'. But can you suggest an alternative that we can 'bank on' to take our nation away from this economy crisis? (We have seen the results in last 10 years, the people whom you voted in probably).

We are left mere bystander post elections. We need to be on even keel and speak from the hip. And of-course it is ludicrous and like comparing chalk and cheese when we talk of religion and development together. We will end up in neither fish nor fowl.

If you talk of integrity, you should be the first person to criticize ''the politician'' from Hyderabad and Jammu Kashmir who are “still” cooking on religious utensils where common man is the fuel. (I really do not bother, BECAUSE THEIR WORDS CANNOT CREATE DIFFERENCES AMONG 'WE' BROTHERS).

However, his win in ‘non-Hindu’ areas shows the dilution of his ‘hindutva’ image. Thoughts of western India have evolved much higher post 2002, but rests of the zones are yet not updated.

I do not bother who wins elections and who is screwed. I only know Price Rise, BAD governance, Crime, Bomb blast, Inflation Etc, do not favor any religion.

And at last, whole world is looking for 2020. We need to move on.

Hope "we" elect a good representative.

                                                                  Signing off:-Mr  R.K. Narnoli
